A network marketing online mlm business follows the same laws that govern branding offline.
In branding, promotion supersedes advertising.
Publicity is how you can become famous or infamous.
What you get that publicity for or what you get known for is your BRAND.

Your job is to become known as a leader in a new category that you create.
In the physical world, in branding, your publicity is all about getting people to talk about you. What does the media say about you and/or your product?
In the online world publicity is the command of eyes, how can you get people to pay attention to you? How can you let people know that you exist and you have something that they need and/or want?
In essence it really is the same thing just a different process that achieves the same goal....
Advertising without promotion is backwards. And promotion is your permission to advertise.
What I mean by that is the fact that publicity is more effective than advertising.People believe what they read from credible sources before they will ever believe what they see in an advertisement.
And the reason that you do not advertise is because you have not built up a reputation yet and people will not believe an advertisement before they recognize you first from a promotion.
Leaders need to promote their category and not their brand. You establish a brand by becoming the expert in your category.
How do you get publicity?
Find out and learn what people are searching for,what problems are they looking to solve, what do they need help with, and help them.
Most people mistake the internet as a marketplace. That is an incorrect assumption.
The internet is a place to find out information.
Most people are searching for answers to situations or problems that they are facing.
They search for information and purchase as a result of that information.
Now, as a network marketer and online mlm business, your product and/or service must solve a problem for them.
Yes, I know, every product or service solves someone’s problem. But, if you don’t explain and educate, or inform-ucate (yes, I did just make up my own word), people who are looking for a solution, you are just selling.
And if you don’t know that, “People don’t like to be sold, they like to buy”, now you know. (Boom, you just got inform-ucated!)
Solve their problems.
But what if I don’t have an answer to their problem?
If you don’t have the answer, go find it!
People want a solution to their problem but don’t have the time or the patience to get the answers themselves.
So, they look for people who already have the answers and pay them for the solutions.
Now, how can you get people to buy from you? How do you get them to become your prospects (i.e. leads) and get them to eventually buy from you?>>>>
